About Us

Loft Architecture is a Melbourne-based architectural practice founded in 2010 by Directors Graeme and Rebecca Christanson.

We offer comprehensive architectural design, documentation, and interior design services for projects of varying scale.

Graeme brings nearly 30 years of experience as an architect across Victoria, Queensland, and Tasmania, with a strong attention to detail and a considered approach to design.

Rebecca specialises in colour and materials, drawing on extensive previous experience within the automotive industry as a designer and project manager in both Australia and Europe.

Our team includes skilled architecture and drafting professionals with experience in multiple sectors.

Our practice is dedicated to creating spaces that foster community engagement through recreation, sport, and education. Current clients include local government and the Victorian Schools Building Authority.

Many of our projects involve designing versatile, multi-purpose facilities that serve a variety of community needs. Several of these buildings have also functioned as emergency evacuation centres during significant events such as bushfires.

We also enjoy working on residential projects and have delivered several extensions to existing homes that address challenges such as limited space and budget constraints.

As a boutique practice, we prioritise consistent and attentive client service. By selecting projects that align with our expertise we can focus on maintaining a high level of service.
