Buchan Recreation Reserve Pavilion & Oval

The aim of this redevelopment is to deliver a modern community and sporting facility that also serves as an emergency relief centre.

 The new facility replaces the existing sports pavilion and associated infrastructure, including the netball and tennis courts. The masterplan for the reserve includes realignment of the football and cricket oval, as well as the replacement of cricket nets and equestrian facilities. The redevelopment brings together various sporting activities—football, cricket, tennis, and netball—under one consolidated facility. This approach not only streamlines the use of the site but also improves overall amenity for users.

The redevelopment combines previously separate and demolished sports facilities into a single, integrated sports and community centre. This consolidation has resulted in a significantly larger building footprint, replacing the former patchwork of amenities with a cohesive, complex that meets the continuing needs of the Buchan community.

The pavilion is nearing the end of construction.
