Greensborough Hockey Club
Established in 1961 the hockey club is the largest in the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and one of only four clubs in Melbourne with a two pitch facility.
The original concrete block building was demolished with the new facility built in it’s place. The club welcomes both playing and non-playing members and a key aspect of the new design was the inclusion of a large social room with bar, kitchen and outdoor verandahs providing clear views to the hockey pitches. This section of the building has been located a metre above ground level to improve game viewing.
The facility includes a change room and amenities section, which also houses referees rooms, a first aid room, family amenities and store rooms.
